The Courage To Ask

By Monique Rhodes

It’s hard to ask for help. Our society is set up to celebrate those who appear to manage everything on their own. Yet, we are fooling ourselves if we think we can do it alone.

If you like this podcast, we would love you to give a review. Here is how you do it.

  • Thank you Monique for this podcast; it was what I needed to hear. A couple of days ago I asked my daughter to come down to Mexico to help me with her father as he is very ill and on oxygen 24/7. She had already offered to come here to help me and I said I was okay on my own. Finally when I fell apart, I called her and she’ll be here with her husband on Friday. I had been telling myself that I had three kids by the time I was 24 years old so why couldn’t I look after my husband’s needs now.
Duh! 82 is very different than 24! Other friends have offered to pick up groceries, etc. for me so I think I’ll ask them.
