The Courage To Ask

Why is it so hard for us to ask for help? In this episode, I explore the shame, fear, and vulnerability that often hold us back—and why asking for help is not weakness but a profound act of strength and connection. I’ll share how opening ourselves to support not only transforms our lives but also deepens our relationships.

  • Thank you Monique for this podcast; it was what I needed to hear. A couple of days ago I asked my daughter to come down to Mexico to help me with her father as he is very ill and on oxygen 24/7. She had already offered to come here to help me and I said I was okay on my own. Finally when I fell apart, I called her and she’ll be here with her husband on Friday. I had been telling myself that I had three kids by the time I was 24 years old so why couldn’t I look after my husband’s needs now.
Duh! 82 is very different than 24! Other friends have offered to pick up groceries, etc. for me so I think I’ll ask them.
