Asking To Help

What does it really mean to offer help to someone in need? In this episode, I explore the complexities of asking, “What can I do to help?” and why this question can sometimes feel uncomfortable or even unwelcome. We’ll look at the reasons people may resist receiving help—whether it’s fear, uncertainty, past disappointments, or simply wanting to be heard rather than advised. True support doesn’t always mean fixing a problem, but being present in a way that meets the other person where they are. Let’s explore how you can ask this question with care, listen with openness, and create deeper connections through genuine acts of support.

  • Oh my gosh-this exact theme was running through my mind last night as I had significant trouble sleeping thinking of some of my friends who are going through some tough times right now, and whom I want to support in the best way possible. Wow – what an incredible coincidence. 🤩🤩🤩🤩
