In a podcast the other day called Where Are You Holding Back I talked about the limits of our love. And I received a great question about this.

I live in New Zealand. Many years ago I was driving in a rural area when I ran out of petrol. Four ‘patched’ gangs members were the only people who stopped to help. They took me to a neighbouring farm who gave us a can of petrol, then took me back to my car, filled it up and made sure the car would start before leaving. These men, who most would classify as dangerous bludgers, on that day were my knights in shining armour. There are no limits to who we love when we become humble and recognise other people’s suffering.
