Your single word choice rang out loudly to me “…interesting that these things often happen ‘for’ us” Such small but powerful intentional word use. Things happen “for us” not “to us”. Everyday I can choose either to see this life as a gift, a beautiful and sometimes painful wonderment of events. Or I can choose to see life through the eyes of a victim. I have done both and hope to cultivate the grateful mind.
